What it means: This race is cancelled. It doesn’t count.
What you do:
- Stop racing
- Return to the starting area or follow race committee instructions
- Everyone’s result is erased; the race will be resailed or skipped
N combinations you might see stacked with it:
- N over H — Abandoned; further signals will be made ashore
- N over A — Abandoned; no more racing today
